15. Wastegate actuator maintenance
If you have owned CITY TURBO (I, II) for many years, always run quietly without using a turbo or have not been riding for a long term, the waste gate valve and the actuator will stick.
In this case, even if the supercharging pressure becomes too high, the pressure will not escape and the ECU cuts off the fuel. Therefore, when the turbo is effective and the vehicle accelerates rapidly, the force suddenly drops.
If it is not mechanically damaged, it seems that there are some cases where it can be improved by forcibly moving the wastegate valve and the link part of the actuator out and lubricating the moving parts.
It's been a known the phenomenon among CITY owners, but I've been riding it for 30 years, and this was the first time I experienced the shock of a fuel cut!
Therefore, maintenance. Since the corresponding link part is in a narrow place and it is difficult to apply force, I cut off a part of the socket wrench, put it on the movable part, and applied force from the bottom of the car body with the extension & T bar.
As a result, the defect was improved. v(^_^)v
