99. Mobile phone holder base
I used the suction cup arm that came with the product to fix it, but the arm was bulky, the accessory holder in the upper right corner was difficult to use, and most importantly, the back of the suction cup was visible from the outside of the windshield, which was uncool. So I made a base to fix a Qi charging smartphone holder.
Not wanting to drill holes in the dashboard and not having anything that could be tightened together, I looked at it for a while and came up with the idea to fix it between the cover and the inner frame by making it hug the outer frame of the meter.
It is three-dimensional, so it is strong enough, and most importantly, it is simple and fastened in a good position.When I ran it, it came off due to vibration, as I expected, so I fixed it with screws and completed it.
Fix the holder base to the meter frame.
Fix the ball joint to the aluminum plate to complete.
Press a piece of wood against an aluminum plate and fold it in a straight line.
Drill holes in the ball joint so that it can be fixed to the aluminum plate with screws.
Transplant the rubber sheet that was originally affixed to the bottom.
Cut the edge of the cup on the back as it is not needed.
I took apart the base clip.
Somehow fix the ball joint of the base clip included with the product to the aluminum plate.
The shape was simplified and the final 1 mm aluminum sheet was cut.
I made several prototypes using cardboard paper.
Even if it could attach that on the edge of the glass, I don't think that would be cool.
This is the arm with suction cup that comes with the product. It is very versatile, but...
