30. Paint the air cleaner cover

The genuine air cleaner cover was the color as the base resin. I plated this air cleaner cover many years ago, but it discolored due to aging. So I peeled off this plating and painted it in the same color as the body. It's not especially good, but can it give a clean impression to you?

Finished painting.

Scrape off the convex line in the center and the letters of HONDA and apply the undercoat.

File and smooth the surface. It is difficult to polish the recessed part of the edge!

Peel off the plating layer patiently.

Although it was a beautiful silver plating, it has become a color like copper plating, probably because it was burnt by heat.
